Bike Basics Appointed as Lynskey EU Distributor

WACHTBERG, Germany – Bike Basics, better known as manufacturer of idworx MTB and Trekking bikes with Rohloff Speedhubs, has expanded its products range with Lynskey titanium bikes.

“The popularity of titanium as frame material is rising again in Europe”, says Gerrit Gaastra, owner of Bike Basics. “In our experience titanium is the best possible frame material and we see growing market for titanium frames. When we came across the opportunity to become European distributor for Lynskey, we immediately stepped in.”

Bike Basics will distribute Lynskey in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.

As founders of the brand Litespeed, the Linskey family has a long background in producing titanium frames. “They combine their knowledge in the handling of the material with the professional skills of their experienced staff”, says Gaastra. “Lynskey is very open-minded for new ideas and market developments. As such we see a lot of similarities with our own company philosophy and we regard the brand Lynskey as a great addition to our own brand idworx.”

Bike Basics will offer the main frame models of the Lynskey program as standard range with short lead times. Next to that Bike Basics will also offer customs support for tailor made or special designs as well as a series of attractively priced bikes. These bikes will be assembled in compliance with idworx’s high quality standard at the German Bike Basics facility in Wachtberg.
