LONDON, UK - Boardman Bikes, the British bicycle brand created by cycling legend Chris Boardman and former UK Ironman record holder Alan Ingarfield, has the worldwide marketplace firmly in its sights with plans for international distribution in 2011.

“The success for Boardman Bikes within our home market since our launch in 2007 is driving our desire to expand beyond the UK and to explore international opportunities for our brand” says CEO Alan Ingarfield. “Our business, based on an excellent range of bikes, has seen phenomenal growth in these early years with ever-improving brand awareness.”

“To this point, we have offered a performance range of Road, MTB and Hybrid bikes”, says Chris Boardman, Director of R&D. “Our target group is very wide: everyone from the everyday enthusiast through to the more serious competitive racer. With the company’s experience at elite levels, combined with our sponsorship of world-class riders and our R&D department, the line-up for 2011 includes the all-new, world-class Elite High Performance level of product, increasing the depth and outreach of our range considerably.”

Desire to grow the range internationally

“As a new brand we are exploring all potential routes to market across all territories around the world. We are looking for International distributors and partners from Europe to Australasia, the Americas to the Far East who share a really strong belief in our product, provide excellent customer experience, coupled with a true desire to grow the range internationally. We see this as a fantastic opportunity to create long-lasting, lucrative partnerships,” says Andy Smallwood, Director of Operations.

The current Boardman Bikes range line-up is available to view online at http://www.boardmanbikes.com with more details on the full 2011 line-up to follow later this year. Key Boardman Bikes personnel will be at Eurobike and will be available for meetings.
