HAMBURG, Germany – Windsurfing icon NeilPryde has launched its first two high-performance road bikes, the Alize and Diablo, developed in close cooperation with BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA. Both bikes were presented last weekend during the Vattenfall Cyclassics in Hamburg.
“NeilPryde Bikes is a bold step forward, both in terms of product design and the evolution of the NeilPryde brand, and we are glad to have developed an innovative vision for this collaboration with NeilPryde,” said Laurenz Schaffer, President of DesignworksUSA.
“We are extremely proud of the two bikes that reflect our brand essence and attitude,” said Michael Pryde, Group Sales and Distribution Manager at NeilPryde. “Our heritage in elegantly engineering winning products in the water sports arena is now expanded beautifully to the cycling world,” Pryde added.
The new bikes will be sold directly to consumers and dealers via internet. The NeilPryde framesets are retail priced at € 1,800 for Diablo, and € 1,600 for. Equipped with Shimano Ultegra and Shimano Dura Ace they comes respectively for € 2,800 and € 3,600.
Earlier this year the Pryde Group, owner of the brand NeilPryde, already announced the launch of a new division focused on performance road bikes. The Pryde Group is a Hong Kong based Sports Group composed of three key business platforms - manufacturing, distribution and brand management. The company is focused on performance, premium quality, style and a winning attitude.
