TILBURG, the Netherlands - Successful innovators not only have fans and followers, but also people shamelessly trying to copy the success and patent protected intellectual property of others. This problem is faced by IDbike, pioneers of E-bikes in Europe, who is well renowned for their TMM torque measurement technology. Torque measurement is an indispensable tool for smoothly accelerating Pedelecs, assuring a perfect synergy between cyclist and machine.

After having developed TMM1, 2 and 3, IDbike introduced their TMM4-sensor 5 years ago, a torque sensor measuring the deflection of the RH rear dropout. Meanwhile many A-brand companies have chosen this torque measurement device for their Pedelecs, and consequently TMM4 has become the benchmark for pedal assist electric bicycles.

In the case of TMM4, recently copies have been traced in China and Europe. Since during Eurobike the spotlight will be more than ever on Pedelecs and e-Bikes, IDbike have serious reason to believe that during the upcoming Eurobike these TMM-copies will be put on display, and will be promoted and sold. IDbike warns all distributors, their importers and re-sellers that the performance of TMM-copies is very poor and inferior to TMM-sensors manufactured by IDbike and those manufactured in license by the official TMM-licensee partners.

Also, promotion and distribution of illegal TMM-copies by any party, is an infringement of the TMM4 patents (Europe/ US/ Japan/ China). Therefore IDbike plans to chase TMM copycats during Eurobike, and infringing parties will be faced with immediate and strong legal action from IDbike-side.
