Demo Day Once Again Busy & Brisk

RATZENRIED, Germany - The fourth edition of the Eurobike Demo Day, one day before the start of the trade show, was not melting in hot temperatures as last year but nearly drowned in heavy rainfall. However the organizer anticipated very well to the wet conditions by putting large wooden board on the muddiest areas.

Although the MTB conditions were not perfect, the test riding was not halted in the mud. For a whole day dealers and members of the press were devoted to testing bikes, rough riding over fields and meadows, and talking about the latest technology with bicycle experts. More than before, visitors not only tested MTBs and road racers but also e-Bikes, the hot issue of this year’s Eurobike.

Over 130 exhibitors were at Demo Day; a new record compared to the about one hundred of last year. All major brands were represented in Ratzenried. Although most visitors were attracted to the bike booths for a bike ride, a growing number of component suppliers were eager to present themselves to the public.

Suppliers of electric bikes also showed up in bigger numbers as never before. And their participation in the event was a big success as the bikes were popular for test riding.

Close to 2,000 trade visitors and over 650 media representatives visited the Demo Day base camp this year. Each year the organization of the Demo Day runs smoother despite it becoming bigger and bigger. For example the clear signs together with many people guiding traffic made it more than easy to find this event hidden in a small town in the beautiful Allgau area.
