DIEREN, Netherlands (19 October) - The number one bike maker in the Netherlands, Gazelle, steadily has had a demand that exceeded production. With favorable figures for its Derby shareholders, Gazelle is increasing production capacity for the 2001 season. Gazelle increased its workshop floor with 1,300 square meters, and engaged another 40 new employees. The capacity of the paint shop has equally been brought up to the new standard. From 2001 on, production capacity will reach 1,800 bicycles per day. (OB)
