MUNICH, Germany (1 November) - Germany's leading bicycle buyers’ association ZEG is preparing its dealership for more winter sales. In the November issue of the German automobile association's magazine ADAC Motorwelt - with a monthly circulation of more than 13 million - ZEG placed a two-page ad showing three fitness home trainers and one step scooter for "winter exercise", with addresses of ZEG dealers where the equipment can be bought. But the Cologne-based bicycle buyers’ group is also giving a hint to its website www.zegshop.de. This is the first step of Europe's largest twowheeler Buyers’ group into the B2C-business world. Products can be delivered consumer-direct by the German Post or UPS. The question hasn’t yet been raised what the ZEG dealers think about this competition from their own group. (JB)
