ROMILLY, France (16 January) – Cycleurope continues its restructuration. In the first round, Peugeot lost its leading position in favor of Bianchi. Now Cycleurope is re-grouping its production. The production of the Peugeot, Gitane and Raleigh France brands will be regrouped at Romilly. The distribution for Bianchi is equally organized from Romilly. In fact, all brands will find themselves back under the one roof of Romilly. The Machecoul production site will be dedicated to the production of bicycles for the large sports and supermarket chains. Press contacts have equally been moved to Romilly. The Pleine Page Press agency that has so considerately taken care of the Cycleurope press relations during the past ten years has seen its contract not renewed last december. And that’s not all: Veloxygen saw its Strasbourg headquarters transferred to Romilly, but the concept will stand for the moment, according to Gérard Ondet, the Romilly press officer.(PGH)
