NETANYA, Israel (31 January) - Bikit, manufacturer of pedelec’s, is cooperating with General Motors to sell its some of its products under the GM brand name ISUZU Challenge. The products will include Bikit’s electric drive units which are used as add-on kits or for complete pedelec’s and mini-scooter’s. The products are to be sold through Universal Motors Israel, the car dealer network of the Israeli GM importer. GM, the world’s largest automobile manufacturer is interested in adding a pedelec product to its list of accessories being offered through its international car dealerships. Bikit and GM hope to develop some experience with the UniBike concept in the Israeli market. Bikit will supply their already internationally successful pedelec system under the GM brand name ‘ISUZU Challenge’ and mounted on a Raleigh trekking style bike. (HN)
