HEERENVEEN, Netherlands - Accell Group NV has announced that Mt W.A. de Jong, Finance Director, is to leave the company as of May 1, 2001. Mr. de Jong is moving to Motip Dupli Groep BV in Wolvega as COO and will also become a shareholder of that company. Taking over Mr. de Jong’s job will be Mr. H.H. Sybesma who has been controller at Batavus since 1995 and has worked for Accell Group’s subsidiaries. Accell is a group of international companies active in the design, production, marketing, and sale of bicycles. Operating in the middle and high end segments, the company sells most of its bikes through the retail specialists channel. Accell has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Germany, and France. They sells bikes under the brands, Batavus, Be One, Cool/Loekie, Hercules, Koga Miayata, Lapierre, Mercier, and Sparta throughout Europe.
