Pan Am Int’l Bike Expo Ready for 3rd Show

GUADALAJARA, Mexico (June 1) - This year’s Pan Am International Bike Expo is slated for 13-15 June in Guadalajara, Mexico. Being held for the third time in as many years, the trade-only event has quickly obtained a position amongst Latin America’s most prominent bike shows, attracting the attention of local and international producers alike. While the around 100 exhibitors make the Pan Am show a relatively small one compared to the larger exhibitions in Asia, Europe and North America, it remains the largest gathering of Mexican and Latin American bike manufacturers under a single roof. Mexico continues to attract interest from the far corners of the bike industry due largely to its low labor production, highly educated workforce and geographic position. Though Mexico is a relatively isolated market with only marginal room for growth, Pan Am’s organizers continue to entice some of the industry’s leading names to Guadalajara, using Mexico’s strategic position between North and South America as its main selling point. International exhibitors with either their own booth or who are exhibiting via their Mexican distributors include Shimano, Bell Sports, Vuelta USA, Trek, Bianchi and Cannonade.
