SRAM's Stan Day Says Thanks

CHICAGO, USA (September 20) The last week has been tragic and remarkable. Having flown to Europe the weekend prior to the IFMA show, I was one of only several attendees from the US. As a US citizen I was overwhelmed by the support of the European community, and the number of people who sincerely spoke of the horror and sympathy for the American people. I saw John Bradley of Schwinn and his wife on Saturday at the show. They had been flying back to the US on Tuesday after having attended Eurobike. They were on a Lufthansa flight that was turned back to Frankfurt midway across the Atlantic. When they arrived back in Frankfurt, German families were lined up at the airport offering to help stranded passengers in any way possible. Two very kind teachers, total strangers up to that moment, took them into their home. We have been lucky at SRAM. No employees were involved in the catastrophe, and at least as of this point, I am not aware of any family members of SRAM who were injured.
