NUNSPEET, The Netherlands (June 3) - In order to further strengthen its service to the Balkans area and future EU candidate member states, Shimano reorganized its distribution in this territory. A new company will be established under the management of Greek distributor N. Maniatopoulos to take care of OEM sales and basic guidance for Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, and Serbia. The aftermarket sales and dealer-service will be followed-up by regional companies. The first selected one is Planet Bike in Belgrade, who will take care of the markets in Bosnia/Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. Shimano hopes to reach the best possible service for these countries with the new setup and to contribute to the development of cycling in the whole region.(FN)
