MADISON, Wisconsin, USA (January 16) - Wind Point Partners (WPP), a US private equity company wants to sell the 43% stake it has bought in Pacific Cycle just before it acquired the remains of Brunswick Bicycle (Roadmaster and Mongoose), the GT and Schwinn brands. According to a report in the French publication 'Sporting Goods Intelligence', WPP is showcasing Pacific Cycle and working towards a valuation of around US$ 500 million, but the bidding is likely to be cautious after what happened not too long ago with Derby Cycle Corp. and Schwinn/GT.
