SCHWEINFURT, Germany (March 10) - The SRAM management, the works council and the employment office have agreed on a social plan for the restructuring of SRAM in Schweinfurt. No more than 60 employees (on a total of presently 363) will be dismissed now, and the remaining 303 jobs will be secured until June 2006.
This is the main result of the negotiations since last December, when SRAM announced that it would skip 161 jobs and transfer a substantial part of the manufacturing of hub gears to the Czech republic.(OB)
