ALKMAAR, the Netherlands (July 14) - AGU Sports has announced that it has agreed on a takeover of Hesling Products bv who make bike panniers and bags, mainly for commuter use. (The other Hesling company, Hesling Bike Style Pruducts, making chain cases, is not involved.) Hesling Products has 18 employees. AGU, (wholesale, clothing and apparel, camping gear, bags & panniers) has frequently crossed swords with Hesling Products about patent infringements, but, AGU wants to underline, the takeover negotiations took place in full harmony. Hesling Products will be one of four sports and/or bicycle-related companies under the AGU holding.(OB)
