BERLIN, Germany – At the consumers electronics show IFA that is taking place from September 3 to 8 in Berlin, Germany, another new and striking name in e-Bikes presented itself. And yes it’s another one coming from Germany, in the likes of Bosch.
There are a lot of nowadays well known and reputed companies from Germany that used to make bicycles; from Opel up to Siemens. Whether the newcomer in electric bicycles also belongs to the same group is unknown. However, its name rings a bell. Telefunken.
The 107 year-old German electronics company showed at the IFA Berlin two prototype e-Bikes. They were wheeled around the show floor in order to gather visitors’ response. If that’s positive enough the company that produced everything from television and radio apparatus to missile guidance systems; will decide whether it will produce and market the Telefunken e-Bikes.
