ESSEN, Germany – Arcandor AG Essen (formerly Karstadt-Quelle AG) continues to sell off the company’s real estate. The headquarters of the worldwide (and also bicycle product selling) mail order company neckermann.de in Frankfurt am Main has been sold to British real estate company Slough Commercial Properties. This UK company paid almost € 200 million.
Arcandor is also looking also for a buyer of its subsidiary neckermann.de. Furthermore the traditional mail order company is set to go public in 2008. According to Arcandor neckermann.de “is the number three universal mail order company and clearly heading for further growth with its focus on internet sales”.
