COLOGNE, Germany – Tomorrow the Intermot will open its doors for the largest bi-annual gathering of the motorcycle industry. However, for the first time Intermot will be presenting more than paint and chrome combined with roaring horsepower; in Hall 5.2, zero-emission e-mobility products and services will be a separate focal point.
As a sub-brand of Intermot Cologne, “Intermot e-motion” will focus on the topic of electric mobility and alternative drive technologies. These include light electric vehicles (LEVs) - pedelecs and e-bikes - and of course also e-scooters and e-motorcycles. Renowned companies here include Bionx, Biretco, Derby Cycle, emax, Flyer Biketec, Gepida, GOVECS, Heinz Kettler, Mavizen, PG Trade, riese + müller, Sachs and Vectrix. A total of about 120 suppliers will take part in this segment.
LEV Conference
Electric mobility also will be represented in the Intermot Cologne supporting programme. The programme features will include the LEV Conference in cooperation with ExtraEnergy.org and an e-congress addressing electric power for short-distance trips, in collaboration with the Bicycle-Friendly Towns and Municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia Working Group. Also scheduled are further business seminars and the general meeting of the international LEV Association (LEVA). And, of course, visitors will be able to test e-Bikes and e-Scooters on the test ride track immediately adjacent to Hall 5.2.
The Intermot will take place from 6th to 10th October 2010 in the KoelnMesse, Cologne.
