Ridley Bikes Expands in South America

PAAL-BERINGEN, Belgium – Recently Ridley Bikes increased its presence in South America by adding new distributors on the main markets of this continent. These new distributors are: Express Imports in Brazil, Biciclo in Mexico, Trizone in Panama and Ciclozona in Venezuela.

International Sales Manager Jo McAleer said, “2011 has been a great year for Ridley. We have added new distributors in South America along with new partners in Europe and Asia. Investments in our infrastructure in Belgium, a new warehouse, B2B, and a customizer program are now paying off. In the last few months, our CEO Jochim Aerts was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the year and Ernst and Young voted us amongst the top 5 most promising young Belgian companies.”

This year Ridley launched the first ever road bike with fully integrated brakes – the Noah FAST. For 2012 Ridley is going back to its Belgian roots with an 8 year sponsorship of Lotto road race team. This and more on the developing South American bicycle market in the December issue of Bike Europe with Market Reports and interviews with industry leaders.
