BARCELONA, Spain – As of this month, the German wholesaler Winora expands its business activities by opening its own subsidiary in Spain. According to Benjamin Huguet (right on photo) Winora’s sales manager for France and Spain, “both bicycle component markets show a lot of simularities in the structure and the business culture. However our efforts which made us succesful entering the France market will not automatically lead to the same result in Spain.”
Located in Barcelona, the company’s own brands Wiener Bike Parts and XLC are distributed to IBDs on the Iberian Peninsula. Winora decided to enter the Spanish market with its wholesale activities after the business developed successfully on the French market during the past five years.
For this project Winora appointed a new salesteam of three people who will start this month. Winora’s call center for the Spanish market as well as meeting room for suppliers where they can show new products will be located in the new office in Barcelona.
