Director of Business Development, Europe

The NuVinci continuously variable planetary (CVP) technology is an innovative new continuously variable transmission (CVT), the first ever to be commercialized for bicycles and light electrical vehicles (LEVs). Fallbrook Technologies Inc., creators of NuVinci, will be adding a Director of Business Development to lead the company’s European sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the bicycle industry, with a well known reputation amongst bicycle manufacturers and key industry decision makers.
The Director of Business Development, Europe, will have direct responsibility for leading all business development activity with European Bicycle OEM and Distributor customers for NuVinci CVP Technology, including monitoring the preferences of customers. The director will manage a sales force, and coordinate sales territories, quotas, goals, and training programs for the sales force. The director will guide the actual distribution and delivery of products to the customers and analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and internal manufacturing inventory needs. In addition, this person will implement customer and industry activities that directly relate to the development of marketing programs to support the attainment of company sales objectives. Working with the company’s leadership team in customer support, marketing, finance and operations, the director will create a company-wide understanding of the European market and requirements.
