For model year 2011 Cole has developed two new wheel sets, the Ventoux and the 29er Lite. Specially designed in collaboration with Cole’s professional riders, the Ventoux is a no-frills climbing wheel designed to maximize every watt of energy on the steepest climbs in the European theatre.
It features a 20 millimetre carbon tubular rim laced to Cole’s hard-anodized alloy free hub DSA hub, with a cold forged alloy body , offering precision handling in alpine descents, and maximum power transfer in hill-top finishes. The Ventoux set weights 1210 grams and is Campagnolo, Shimano, and SRAM compatible.
To meet growing demand for the 29er MTB segment, Cole has developed the Lite. Cole’s first 29er wheel with a DSA hub comes in at a very light 1790 grams, yet with the high tension and strength of DSA lacing. The Lite is specially meant for the XC, Endurance Race, Trail, and All-Mountain categories. It features an Aries DSA M15 XC Front Hub with Shimano Centre Lock system and a M15 hub with an internal axle. The clincher type alloy DH rim has a 23.5 mm profile and is black anodized.
