Specialized and Nitto Recalls

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Specialized bicycle components expanded its earlier recall of bicycles due to fall hazard. This recall involves the 2012 Tricross Sport and 2012 Tricross Comp model bicycles. The bicycles are various colors and the model name “Tricross Sport” or “Tricross Comp” is on the top tube.

The brake component housed within the bicycle’s carbon fork can disengage from the fork and allow the brake assembly to contact the wheel spokes while rotating. The forks involved in this recall are made by Advanced Group in Taiwan.

Nitto handlebar
Euro Asia Imports issued a voluntary recall of handlebars put on the market by them made by Nitto in Japan. The recall involves the Nitto B259AA ‘riser bar’. Nitto discovered that this handlebar could break while cycling. Nitto has discontinued the production of the B259AA and replaced it with the B260AA model handlebars. Euro Asia Imports offers free replacement to all consumers riding a bike with a handlebar involved in this recall.
