DUARTE, USA – Dahon announces that it has signed contractual agreements with new partners in Germany. Comus International joins Dahon as the new sales agent for Europe’s largest market. BICO is a new distribution partner while ZEG increases its commitment to the brand. The freshly inked deals will broaden Dahon’s distribution to one of the most important bicycle markets in Europe.

Comus International has been selected to take on the role as Dahon’s sales agent for the German market effective immediately. As a premier bicycle and component importer, Comus will offer a full range of business and marketing services for Dahon branded folding bikes to the company’s network of distribution partners in Germany.

The world leader in folding bicycles furthermore announces a new distribution partnership with bicycle retailer association BICO. The dealer cooperative based in Verl, North Rhine-Westphalia, counts more than 600 affiliated members and features a portfolio of leading bicycle and component brands. BICO members will be able to preview and order Dahon folding bikes at Eurobike and also at BICO’s in-house dealer show in September.

Europe’s biggest buyers’ association ZEG (Zweirad Experten Gruppe) rounds off the company’s strong distribution network in Germany. ZEG, with close to 1,000 retailers, is Dahon’s longest-running partner in the market and viewed as one of the leading retailers for folding bicycles with a large selection of Dahon bicycles. ZEG will be exhibiting the Dahon range for 2012 later this month at the Bike Expo trade fair in Munich.

Dahon founder and CEO Dr. David Hon expresses his satisfaction at the company’s future partnerships in Germany: “We are, of course, very excited to be working with the highest caliber distributors in such an incredibly competitive market. Most of all, we want to reinforce our commitment to our many loyal retail partners and consumers in Germany for they are most important to us. We will continue to strive to meet their needs by providing high quality and innovative products as well as good service before and after sales.”
