Bicycle manufacturer ‘The Dutch Bicycle Group’ (DBG) is hunting for the Halfords stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. Halfords is a popular acquisition partner as DBG is not the only company in the race for Halford the Netherlands, reportedly because there are a number of parties interested in the approximately 150 Dutch and Belgian Halfords stores for sale.
DBG owner Henny van Rijswijk confirmed to Bike Europe that he is among the parties interested in the Halfords stores.
Van Rijswijk: “Later this month, Halfords owner MacIntosh will review all parties interested and decide on which companies join the auction proces. Before the end of the year this decision will be taken.”
