BREDA, The Netherlands – Henk de Vreeze is the name of the new Biretco CEO, successor of Ron Te Riele. He starts December 1, 2007 at the retail organization operating in Holland, Belgium and Germany.
Henk de Vreeze (57) comes from the non-food retail sector where he headed for the past 3.5 years the retail organisation ‘Nederlandse Expert Groep BV’ that has about 190 member/dealers with a consumer-turnover of about € 400 million.
De Vreeze resigned last June as Expert Group CEO due to differences on future course and policy of the company. De Vreeze also worked for a DIY chain in Holland as well as for the Dutch mass market chain HEMA.
A Biretco spokes person states: “The ambitions of Henk de Vreeze are a perfect match to those of Biretco, the market leader in Holland for bicycles and bicycle products. The new CEO intends to profile the Biretco shop formulas 'the Bike Specialist' Profile ("der Fahrradspezialist" Profile), Fietswereld, Bonus Bikes as well as the purchasing organisation Biretco Buying Group even more prominently on the Dutch, Belgian and German markets.
His first job is to focus on a strategy plan that is in particular will be targeting the optimilisation of the profit of the shops of the Birectco members.”
Biretco is one of Europe's largest full-service retail organisations. Biretco has around 750 member/dealers and more than 400 suppliers in four countries, with consumer sales of around 325 million euro. Located in Breda, the Netherlands Biretco employs some 32 people.
