GAND, Belgium - For the 2011 edition of the European Mobility Week, the European Two-Wheeler Retailers’ Association (ETRA) is organising an event on the Esplanade of the European Parliament in Brussels. On 22 September companies will have the opportunity to show their latest products to European decision-makers and citizens. Registration for companies is open now.
With a demonstration of electric cycles and other light electric vehicles, the exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for companies to demonstrate how their products can contribute to a sustainable and innovative European transport system. Visitors can try out the vehicles on the open space of the Esplanade. Companies can also make your vehicles available for a guided tour of the Brussels European quarter.
After the exhibition, which will run from 9 am to 2 pm, a high-level conference will be organised in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Brussels to allow politicians, academics and stakeholders to exchange on the issue of alternative mobility. This event will be coupled with the inauguration of the Dutch Cycle Embassy.
Any company that has products or provides services which can illustrate the potential of cycling and light electric vehicles in making transport more sustainable are invited to participate in this event. With it ETRA wants to inform visitors on the wide variety of light electric products to facilitate urban transport and on their benefits in the field of environment, transport, public health, etc.
For participation and for further details please contact Annick Roetynck, ETRA Secretary General at Tel. +32 9 233 60 05, E-mail etra@pandora.be
