FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - When the last trade visitor day of Eurobike is over on Friday it is time to relax. As of 6.30 o'clock is party time with the outdoor grounds turning into an open-air concert arena and a large dance floor. This year, the Eurobike party will see a very special guest on stage: one of the members of Shimano family.
Toyo Shimano, son of Shimano‘s chairman of the board, and the rock band ‘Breakaways’ will present a charity concert at the start of the Eurobike Party on Friday evening September 2nd. This very special concert is a fundraiser for children who became a victim of the march 11 eartquake and tsunami in Japan.
Under the theme ‘Bicycle Helps’ Paul Lange & Co. OHG, Shimano, the German bicycle industry Association (ZIV) and Messe Friedrichshafen want to help to alleviate the hardship and suffering of these children and give them literally a new roof over their heads. The concert by Toyo Shimano and his rock band is to raise money for the orphanage ‘Fuji no Sono’ in Ichinoseki.
