DHAKA, Bangladesh - The Transworld Bicycle Company Ltd (TWBC), part of the Meghna Group, received the National Export Award of the Government of Bangladesh. In the category ‘Light Engineering Products’ it gained the National Export Trophy (Silver).
The award was handed over by Prime minister Sheikh Hasina in a grand ceremony in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Titash Tanvir, CEO of TWBC received the award on behalf of his company. The Transworld Bicycle Co Ltd is a leading manufacturer of quality bikes and exports to European customers including Raleigh UK.
The Government of Bangladesh has awarded 45 successful business houses for their extraordinary performance in exports in the fiscal year 2009-10.
