DIEREN, the Netherlands – Last week the take-over of Royal Gazelle by Pon Holdings BV has been finalized. With the change in ownership, Jeroen Walraven (photo), since April 15, 2011 CEO of the Dutch bike factory, resigned as he prefers: “Not to be in charge at the next phase of growth at Gazelle.”
Last week, Gazelle obtained the necessary consent of the Dutch Competition Authority (NMA) while money changed hands and other formalities of the acquisition by Pon Holdings BV were finalized. MD Walraven was closely involved in the takeover process by Pon Holdings, in close cooperation with the Supervisory Board.
With the resignation of Walraven Gazelle is looking for a new managing director who: “Together with the management-team is to provide leadership to realize our ambitions.” These ambitions include an internationalization of the company’s activities.
