Interbike Celebrates 30th Edition

LAS VEGAS, USA – Yesterday the 30th Interbike took off with the long established concept of the two days Outdoor Demo. Tomorrow the Sands Expo and Convention Center will open its doors for Interbike Expo. The 2011 total number of scheduled exhibitors is 750, representing more than 1,200 exhibiting brands, up from 730 exhibitors last year. Included in that number are a group of companies either exhibiting for the first time or returning to the show after a hiatus.

Nielsen Expositions increased the size of the show floor substantially to house all the new exhibitors. On top of that Nielsen added 140,000 square-feet to bring its sister show Health+Fitness Business into the mix, accommodate additional Interbike exhibitors and to add other show features such as the Circulus velodrome and expanded bike test ride areas.

To celebrate the 30 anniversary of Interbike the Industry Party returns starting Tuesday evening, September 13 at the Lavo Nightclub in the Palazzo Hotel. All Interbike exhibitors and attendees are invited to attend this Shimano co-sponsored the party.

“Celebrating our anniversary with members of the industry as a whole is a great honour and a cool way to bring back the annual industry party,” said Interbike Show Director Andy Tompkins. “Interbike has been instrumental in moving the industry forward for these last 30 years and we are proud to be able to honour that at our event.”
