BAD NAUHEIM, Germany - To boost JD’s Eagle entry on the European e-Bike markets the company has launched a comprehensive PR tour through Europe’s leading capitals. The Eagle was presented to local newspapers, lifestyle magazines and bicycle industry press at media events in the European capital cities of Paris, Amsterdam and London.

Among the distinguished media present were le Figaro, De Telegraaf, Sunday Express, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Veronica Magazine, and others.

The presentation featured background information about the multiple award winning city e-Bike and the TranzX PST drive system as well as a test drive through lively neighbourhoods, past some of each city’s most famous landmarks and straight through busy downtown areas.

Following the Eagle’s first preview at the March 2009 Taipei Cycle Show and its industry launch in 2009, the e-Bike has been available for consumers in many European countries as of this spring.

In a number of markets, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, the Eagle e-Bike has been received with much critical acclaim and is available under the brand names of respected bicycle manufacturers in the various countries.

In addition to the capitals of Paris, Amsterdam and London, the cities of Madrid and Padova, near Venice, are on this tour’s agenda for mid-September 2010. At the Festibike and Expobici trade fairs, JD will feature the Eagle during a press event alongside two other TranzX PST e-Bike models, the Falcon and Low-Step.

An additional stop on the Eagle PR tour was also made in s’Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. As part of a UNICEF promotion, the Eagle was displayed during the UNICEF Open 2010 lawn tennis event and donated by JD for a UNICEF charity auction. In addition to many enthusiastic responses from tournament visitors, the trendy e-bike also captivated the interest of the tennis stars.

JD Group is famous for having ignited the 20th century’s last great fad when it created the kick scooter. Forbes magazine put JD’s light-weight, aluminium miniscooter in a class with Crayola Crayons and Beanie Babies as one of the 10 most popular toys of the century.
