The world’s biggest in bicycles tyres is launching tubulars for road racing bikes at three different users levels. For this new series Kenda is for the first time using ‘NRC’ which stands for Natural Rubber Compound. This is a compound of natural and artificial rubber.
Kenda’s professional tubular tyre for the most demanding riders is called Volare. This one comes with a 300 TPI carcass; ‘Iron Cloak’ puncture protection; Latex inner tube and weighs only 258 grams. These features must provide long durability, excellent traction and low rolling resistance. Size is 700 x 22C and (retail) price stands at € 99.99.
The top training tire among Kenda’s new tubular series is called Super Domestique and is prices at € 89.99. Features are the same as the Volare except for the inner tube which is at the Super Domestique made from butyl. This makes this tyre slightlty heavier at 288 grams.
The high quality tubular tyre for beginners is called Domestique. This one comes with 220 TPI carcass; also the butyl inner tube and weighs 294 grams. This Kenda tubular retails for € 39.99 at European distributor Messingschlager. More at: www.messingschlager.com
