COPENHAGEN, Denmark - (October 17) Denmark’s largest bicycle manufacturer (owned by Cycleurope) will stop frame production at the end of this year. Kildemoes will outsource its frames to the Far East. Kildemoes will continue to paint and assemble the bikes, but it will have to lay off a number of employees. Last year, the Norwegian Cycleurope brand DBS Ogland stopped production altogether. Now Kildemoes will take over the DBS production, an estimated 23,000 bicycles a year, but it will stop the resonsability for distribution of Peugeot in Denmark, a co-operation that lasted several years.
