GENEVA, Switzerland - Siegfried Neuberger, general manager of the German industry organization ZIV, has been chosen as the new chairman of the ISO/technical committee 149 last week.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the global standardization organization. As part of ISO, the Technical comity 149 is the overall body in which all norms on bicycles, bicycle parts, components, and accessories are developed.
The technical committee 149 now headed by Siegfried Neuberger is thus responsible for the coordination and planning of all ISO activities for this product range.
“The combination of the offices of the secretary of DIN and chairmanship of the ISO/TC 149 gives us the opportunity to represent the industry in Germany appropriately as we have control over the content of the standards and adjust future strategies”, commented Siegfried Neuberger.
