BRUSSELS, Belgium - At Eurobike 2010 Michelin is unveiling its latest innovations which are Wild Race’R; Michelin Dynamic, as well as the revolutionary new Protek Max inner tube. Visitors will also get a look at a concept tyre that features a tread as surprising as it is original.

The Wild Race’R is the latest addition to the Michelin Wild range introduced earlier this year. Designed for use on hardpack terrain, the tyre provides better handling and greater efficiency thanks to a new tread design, new rubber compounds and a new architecture on the crown. The Wild Race’R also allows cyclists to climb out of ruts more easily, improves traction and enables more daring lean angles.

With the Dynamic range Michelin launches two tyres for sport and leisure riding. The Dynamic classic and Dynamic Sport road tires are designed for everyday use by all kinds of riders. The tyre is remarkably robust, long lasting and offers high-performance. The Dynamic Sport is treadless, which represents a major technological achievement in a range designed above all for versatility.

The revolutionary new Protek Max inner tube offers the best protection against both punctures and pinch flats. Its extraordinary resistance is due to its textured surface, a first for a tyre inner tube. Until now, traditional inner tubes have responded by expanding, like a balloon, meaning that in the event of a puncture, the hole tends to get bigger. The Protek Max responds by compressing, meaning that the hole naturally seals itself, thanks to the combined effect of the tube’s textured surface and the injection of a prevention sealant that accentuates the self-sealing process.

Michelin’s latest innovations will be on display in Hall A1, stand 307.
