BERN, Switzerland – More and more companies from the bike industry are joining the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI). Renowned names from Italy are the most recent new members that enlisted to the WFSGI which represents them on a global level.
Colnago Ernesto EC Srl; 3T Cycling Srl; Cicli Esperia Spa; Cicli Pinarello and BMC Trading AG are the new members. They follow Accell Group, Adidas, Argon18, Cannondale, Canyon, Cervelo, Felt bicycle, Fuji, Giant, Koga, Lapierre, Nike, ODLO, Ridley, Rotor, Scott, Shimano, Skins, Specialized, SRAM, Trek, Wilier and Zipp, that earlier joined the WFSGI which is since July 2010, next to the sporting goods industry, also representing the bicycle industry.
With this development, the recently formed WFSGI Bicycle Committee gathers the major leading brands and allows them to have a global representation on all levels (Sport, Trade, Social and Environmental issues) as well as a strong voice towards the UCI and the International Olympic Committee.
