HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam - Next November the Saigon Exhibition & Convention center will host the first edition of the Intercycle. This new international bicycle fair was presented last week at the China Cycle Show in Shanghai and comes within one year after the European Union dropped the 15.8 to 34.5% anti-dumping duty on Vietnam made bikes.

This decision created new opportunities for the Vietnamese bicycle industry which was nearly wiped out after the instigation of the anti-dumping duties in 2005.
The Intercycle will be organized by the China Bicycle Association and the China Council for the promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub Council together with the Shanghai Xiesheng Exhibition company. The Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising company is the local partner for this project which is supported by the Ministry of Industry & Trade of Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Vietnam Auto Motorcycle Bicycle Association.
The Intercycle will take place from 30 November to 3 December 2011.
