“We want to guarantee that in the Czech Republic, in the near future, every single spare part of our full product range will be available within one week”, said Bernhard Lange, CEO of the German Paul Lange & Co. at the “Sport-Life” fair in Brno last November.

Starting in March 2009 the Stuttgart based company will implement its strategy of “spare parts offensive Eastern Europe”. This new course of the German distributor was intensively prepared over the past months. It will, assuming the general availability, allow for the shortest delivery times at a maximum service level.

Paul Lange & Co wants to express that its 'spare part offensive' will by no means be targeted only at the Czech Republic. In Hungary as well as in the Slovak Republic too spare parts will then be available within seven days.

The Sport Life fair showed clearly that quick reaction and delivery are becoming more and more important for dealers and producers in Eastern Europe. Paul Lange & Co. reacted immediately and started a project to step up delivery times. “A more efficient order processing with increased integration of the B2B Internet Platform markt@tiv, the picking process or the handling of shipment has to guarantee delivery periods of two to three days at the most”, said Rainer Schniepp, responsible for the spare parts offensive Eastern Europe.

“Furthermore merchandise planning at the company head office in Stuttgart requires specific coordination and planning”, added Schniepp, Authorized Signatory at Paul Lange & Co. “Currently our focus is set to the gathering of relevant data based on which the spare parts offensive may be implemented. Until the start of the offensive in early March for example thousands of spare part units have to be registered in the EDP systems of the local Paul Lange companies to ensure an unobstructed order processing.”
