KENT, USA - Eight reports of head tubes separating from the frame forced Seattle Bike Supply (SBS) to issue a voluntary recall for the Redline D640. Consumers should stop using this recalled product immediately unless otherwise instructed and from now on it is illegal to resell this bicycles.
The recall involves all 2008 Redline D640 bicycles. The bicycles were sold in black and have aluminium frames. The model number is written on the frame’s top tube. Between December 2007 and May 2010 some 200 Chinese made Redline D640 were sold.
SBS advised consumers to contact a local Redline bicycle dealer to receive a free frame replacement.
