GIPF, Switzerland (September 2) - Shimano Paul Lange and wholesaler Fuchs-Movesa AG will take over the distribution of Shimano components in Switzerland from Cilo Bike. Cilo has imported Shimano parts and accessories in Switzerland for many years, but financial troubles during the past couple of years for the Swiss high-end bike manufacturer seems to be a major reason why Lange and Fuchs-Movesa took over. Paul Lange (Shimano distributor in Germany) and wholesaler Fuchs-Movesa established a new company for the Shimano distribution in Switzerland. This company is named PLFM (Schweiz) AG which will start activities on January 1, 2003. Fuchs-Movesa belongs to the Frey family, who are the Swiss Piaggio importer, along with several other business interests. (PH)
