CHICAGO, USA - For many brands the USA bicycle show Sea Otter Classic has become an important mid-season event for launching new products. SRAM took the opportunity to put the spotlight on several new drivetrain components for the mountainbike market.

For MY 2012 SRAM introduced an all new X0 Silver line. This chrome and polished X0 Silver is the latest addition to the X0 family, including Avid X0 brakes. It will be available in 2X10 and 3X10 options in an all classic X0 design. For X0, X9 and X7 SRAM developed a 2X10 gearing options in 22-36 and 24-38. These two new gearing options complete SRAM’s 2X10 range which already includes 28-42 and 26-39. It suits best for 29er riders, alpine riding with steep climbs and long travel All-Mountain/Enduro bikes.

Truvativ partnered with MRP to produce a new line of chain management devices. The X0 guide is a single-ring chain guide, with an upper and lower guide for optimal chain retention and a replaceable skid plate for impact protection. It is available for 36-40 or 32-36 chain ring sizes and with BB, ISCG or ISCG 05 mounts.

Apex in white

Following the popular introduction of SRAM’s black Apex in 2010, SRAM has now launched an all new White Apex. The brakes, the upper part of the rear derailleur, front derailleur and the shifters shift paddle take on an alpine white finish while the chain and the cassette remain the same.

The elegant white graphics appear on the crank arms as a signature for this sparkling and trendy groupset. The features stay the same as the original SRAM APEX including the innovative WiFLi technology and its 11-32 cassette. The Apex White is now available on the market.
