Stevens First to Spec E-bike with NuVinci/Gates Systems

 The predecessor of the new Stevens Carpo: the E-SpeedflyerHAMBURG, Germany - Stevens Bikes, one of the leading bicycle brands in Germany, presents the first Pedelec combining the NuVinci N360 CVT hub with the Gates Carbon Drive belt system and the Bosch e-bike middle motor. Originally presented at Taipei Cycle Show earlier this year, the concept was quickly picked up by Stevens Bikes.

The Stevens Carpo has a clean and lean design in all white still has a sportive look with the 60 mm Super Moto Schwalbe tires. The Bosch system propulses the bike easily to the EU-street legal 25km/h and even up to 45 km/h in the ‘Speed’ version.

The Stevens Carpo-Gates version has the following characteristics:

  • Robust alloy MTB frame and rigid fork.
  • Relaxed riding position with an ergonomic cockpit.
  • Disc brake only compatible.
  • Innovative NuVinci continuously variable transmission system, 360% gear ratio with infinite number of gears.
  • Gates Carbon Drive belt system, silent and smooth function, lighter than a chain, low maintenance and higher performance.
  • Bosch eBike system.
  • Motor assistance up to 25 km / h (Pedelec) and 45 km/h (S-Pedelec).
  • Battery capacity offers range from 40–80km, depending on terrain and mode.

This bike will be available in 4th Quarter of 2011 and will be the flagship model of the Stevens Pedelec range 2012. All-weather, lighting and transport accessory optional. Stevens has an established dealer base in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland who are selling most of the Stevens e-bikes.
