US DealerCamp Attracts Large Crowds

LAGUNA NIGUEL, USA - DealerCamp which was held from 26-27 July, gained a strong position on the US business events market. Many manufacturers love the format and productivity.

“First and foremost, DealerCamp allowed us to have meaningful one on one discussions with our retailers, distributors and OEM brands”, commented Adam Micklin, director of global sales for Hayes Bicycle Group. “The Park City venue was the ideal location to showcase our latest creations.”

Together with the Hayes Group more than 200 brands found their way to DealerCamp this year. The event attracted some 648 individual retail buyers from 352 unique stores making a total 1,700 bicycle retailer and industry members who came to this ski resort.

“We essentially tripled our retail buyer and unique store attendance in only our second year. Further, the exhibiting brand count quadrupled. For 2012 the bulk of our focus will be on retail buyer attendance and event enhancements. We do like to see the retailer number grow and will let them know that they don’t need an invitation, just come. Everyone is invited,” commented Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events.

Retailers experienced a new found productivity as well. “It was a great event. We accomplished quite a bit of business and managed to get in some epic riding”, stated Tomas Patek of World Cycle and XC Ski in Boise, Idaho. Patek was one of 125 retail businesses offered a travel subsidy to attend DealerCamp.

DealerCamp returns to Deer Valley Resort in 2012 on the 22-24 of July.
