Pletscher – Swiss maker of carriers, kickstands and bike bags – is for 2011 offering a line of mudguards specially made for bikes which are part of public bike rental schemes such as the Vélib system in Paris.
As these bikes are frequently subject to vandalism the new Pletscher mudguards feature extra reinforcement. As they are made from thick-plated steel, and as parts like head and rear lights are extra protected on these mudguards it seems as though Pletscher has found a vandalism-proof solution.
