MILL VALLEY, USA - WTB is about to open a European office in Brno in the Czech Republic. “After we ended distribution through Oval Concepts late last year, we decided to open our own office” explains Susie Weaver, responsible for corporate affairs at WTB.
“We will also expand production in Europe. Soon we will start with tyre production here, besides several rims which are already made in the Czech Republic.” The latest addition to the WTB product portfolio is a range of touring bike saddles under the brand name Freedom.
Shortly before the opening of the Brno office, WTB will announce the name of the GM for Europe. Several sales managers are already on board, like Viktor Cicak (see picture). He has long experience in the bicycle business and has formerly been working for BPS Bicycle Industrial (a daughter company of KTM Fahrrad ) and Marwi CZ.
