In the Bike Europe October 2007 edition you could find all the latest on pedelecs and e-Bikes. With new technologies, improved batteries and better looks e-Bikes and pedelecs are appealing to a growing number of consumers. Not surprisingly sales are booming.

Olimpia is one of the suppliers who presented new bikes within its Gepida range at the autumn shows. Olimpia launched the men’s version of the Gepida e-Bike. From next February both types will be available in a Holland Bike model with a closed chain guard, luggage carrier with straps, rollerbrakes, battery rear light and Spanninga front light.

All models are equipped with a 10Ah battery that guarantees 40-50 kilometres reach. A second battery to expand this to 100 kilometres will be available later. The new brushless motor is easily assembled and serviceable and uses only three in stead of eight cables for power supply and control. The power safe will switch off the display and motor five minutes after the stop.
