AbusLeaving your bike unattended for a few minutes without all the hassle of the big chain locks is now possible with the new Abus Protectus, available in two sizes and in a choice of black or silver finish. This frame lock is mounted to the rear frame with universal clips and blocks the back wheel through a shackle which is moved through the spokes.

The Protectus serves as a secure anti-theft device for the short visit at a shop. In case the bike has to be left unobserved for a longer period of time, Abus has developed a solution that can be combined with the Protectus. A 12 millimeter thick Loop Cable offers additional basic security, and a 6 millimeter hexagonal chain can be used when more security is needed.

Foldable Locks

The introduction last year of the Bordo Combo foldable locks has been very successful. This lock combines flexibility with light weight and compact configuration. Now Abus is introducing a new model in this range with a re-settable code. Well-known number-combinations like the date of birth or account numbers are quickly and easily programmed and allow various applications. The Bordo Combo is ideal when several people use a single lock or when many locks with the same code are needed.

With the Lock-Chain-Combinations Steel-O-Chain 880 and Catena 685, Abus brings two new basic products to the mid-range price segment. The Catena 685 features a six millimeter strong chain and is 75 centimeters long. The Steel-O-Chain 880 has a 7 millimeter strong square chain and is comes in two lengths, 85 and 110 centimeters. Both locks are completely covered with a tough fabric sleeve to prevent the lock and the frame from scratches and abrasion.
