City Tank Specially Designed For Belt Drive
Frame manufacturer Tank Cycle has designed a special frame kit for belt drive systems. According to the company, the City Tank drive system will be the trend for future urban and trekking bikes as it is very easy to maintain and the system itself is very clean as it does not require lubrication.
This drive system weighs much less compared to a regular chain set and above all it is much quieter. An important feature of this belt drive frame is the fastening of the right side seat stay on the drop out with bolts. This construction allows the right side seat to be opened for easy adjustment of the belt.
The rear dropout has a width of 135 millimetres allowing to belt drive systems to be fitted as well as a Shimano Alfine speedhub. Of course this frame can also be used in combination with a chain drive. The City Tank will be available as frame kit for OEM as well as in complete bike form.
